We welcome you to our church and encourage you to discover how scientific spiritual prayer can bring healing into your life. And you are encouraged to bring children to our Sunday School. Those attending our services are both life-long Christian Scientists and those who have more recently begun to explore this way of life. Our church is located at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road.
Sunday Service 10:30 to 11:30 am. On Sunday we come together to pray, sing hymns and listen to a lesson-sermon from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. These two books serve as our “pastor” maintaining the focus on the pure, inspired word. Christian Scientists study this lesson-sermon throughout the week and bring their own inspiration to the service. Church members conduct the service and deliver the lesson-sermon readings.
This week’s lesson-sermon topic: Is the Universe, including Man, Evolved by Atomic Force? When making good decisions, gather information while always keeping the information source in mind. On Sunday, June 24, the Christian Science service looks at the source of our information about life and health. Once we understand the divine source, constructive solutions become clear and “…you will rise to the spiritual consciousness of being, even as the bird which has burst from the egg and preens its wings for a skyward flight” (Science and Health). Learn more about the lesson that students of Christian Science are studying all week long at ebiblelesson.com And, you are invited to join us on Sunday, June 24 @ 10:30 am.
Sunday School 10:30 to 11:30 am Our Sunday School is a place for young people to learn what the Bible teaches of God’s infinite goodness. Children and young people up to the age of twenty learn about their relationship to God as their loving Father-Mother. They will discover how to make the Bible and Science and Health useful and relevant guides in their daily lives. This Bible-based teaching concentrates on the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer and the Sermon on the Mount. The discussion format allows for a lively exchange of ideas between students and teacher.
Wednesday Evening Testimony Meetings 7:30 to 8:30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month. Testimony meetings feature inspirational readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scripture by Mary Baker Eddy. Those attending have an opportunity to share insights, experiences and healings they’ve had as a result of their prayer, study and practice of Christian Science. It’s a wonderful way to see how others are solving problems and finding healing through prayer and living Christian Science. The next Wednesday testimony meeting is July 4 @ 7:30 pm.
Children not yet ready to attend Sunday School or Wednesday meetings are cared for while their parents attend church.
